2026 Competitors in the Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society's
Rescue Horse Training Challenge
These wonderful young women have been riding with Scissortail for many years and are stepping out of their usual routine. They are participating in the Bluebonnet Training Challenge to push themselves, grow skills, and make a real impact. As a part of this challenge, they are working to support the Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society by turning a rescue horse into a confident, adoptable partner. They are currently looking for sponsors to help cover the cost, so we are able to give a rescue horse a true second chance. Be part of something bigger. Help us give rescue horses a second chance.
In this event each member gets to work with a rescue horse, that is currently looking for a forever home, for 4 months in order to teach new skills, improve rideability, instill safety, and improve their chances of becoming valuable to potential adopters. Learn more about the event. On October 3rd, 2026 they will compete in a multiple phase competition with their new partners. They will be chronicling their journey on individual Facebook pages so make sure to follow and like all of our team throughout the summer!
